Is hearing loss irreversible?

Answered By Hanson Edgecomb, Editor

No. Hearing loss that is diagnosed early can still be treated. With the development of Rb1, gene symptoms of hearing loss can be treated. However, in cases like old aging hear loss is difficult to cure.
