Can an ear infection or too much earwax cause hearing loss?

Answered By Hanson Edgecomb, Editor

Definitely, both the ear infection and the earwax that build up in your ear can lead to hearing loss.

Earwax that clogs the ear canal can later become milky-like pus and sometimes bloody that can worsen the ear infection. If this happened, hearing loss will occur.
